With only two days left before the Version 2.5 update drops in Teyvat, bringing with it the long-awaited Guuji of the Narukami Shrine, Yae Miko, the leaks surrounding the sly fox are getting more and more suggestive. A post fromu/ukrisrengon r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks revealed some of Yae Miko’s “about a character” voicelines, which include a lineup of unreleased characters.
These includeKuki Shinobu, who had been mentioned in Arataki Itto’s introduction,Kunikuzushi,Scaramouche’s other name, and the elusiveKamisato Ayato, who had recently been officially revealed through Genshin Impact’s official channels.

While little is known about Kamisato Ayato, his official introduction suggests that he’s a person with a genuinely good heart and little care for the intricacies of political play, despite being the head of the Yashiro Commission. He’s known to be extremely resourceful and cunning, but he also isn’t greedy enough to reap all the rewards won in tough negotiations.
However, Yae Miko’s leaked voiceline about Ayato suggests that he may have a more interesting personality than meets the eye. She calls him theYashiro rascal, who has apparently been brewing updevious schemessince he was a child.
While there are many ways to interpret Yae’s description of Ayato, it could possibly be more playful in nature, evident by how he spares time to amuse Arataki Itto’s beetle-fighting tendencies. He once told Itto that “You can kindle the warrior spirit even in the weakest of bugs,” prompting the oni to take his hobby to greater heights.
