Minoli, said during aSlitherineTV Twitch interviewthat the developers would not change the lore and that there would beno characters from the movie appearing in the game. That also means that there won’t be characters from the book, since the movie loosely followed the book’s characters.

The game takes place during the war against Arachnids. In the movie, there was a lot of emphasis placed on the battle against the Arachnids. The bugs were also major villains in the book.
