Building is an essential feature in Fortnite. In fact, this feature makes Fortnite one of the most unique games in the Battle Royale genre. However, you won’t be able to build structures during the initial 9 days in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. The reason behind this can be found in the one of the quest logs for the current season.

The Imagined Order has managed tobuild a device that can block all building. The reference to this can be found in an audio log uncovered by data mineriFiremonkey. This feature will last for thefirst 9 days in the current season. To help counter the inability to build structures, you can nowclimb walls and buildings. There’s also a questline that you will need to complete in order to restore building in Fortnite.

Based on this set of audios it appears that the first 9 days of Chapter 3 - Season 2 will have building disabled, which explains why the no build LTM supports bot lobbies.https://t.co/XwdAyHbOOE

However, this will only be applicable for the regular Fortnite Battle Royale mode. The building featurewill remain unaffected in Team Rumble, Arena and Creative Maps. If you’ve had an issue with building in Fortnite, or if you’ve just started playing the game, use these 9 days to get a lay of the land before you start your building journey. Good luck, looper!

Epic Games has now confirmed that Building is unaffected in competitive/Arena playlists as well as in Team Rumble and Creative Islands.
