Bungie has been dropping plenty of teasers and pieces of information leading up to the release of The Witch Queen. Some of these teasers were released over on the Destiny 2 Instagram account. It consisted of two Hive transmissions coming from someone named Immaru. Here is who Immaru is and what role they might have in The Witch Queen.
In the brief transmission, players can hear a character named Immaru relaying information to the various Hive forces in Savathûn’s Throne World. While we don’t have much information on this character other than these audio clips, we can still infer that Immaru issomeone high upin the ranks of Savathûn’s army. In the second transmission, we can hear Immaru sayingthe First Ghost. We have very little to go on outside of these short audio clips. Immaru will be an important character in The Witch Queen expansion. Interestingly,the transmissions sound almost like those that Guardians hear when starting a Patrol. This leads us to believe that Immaru could be the part of a group that commands the Lucent Hive forces,similar to the Vanguardand how they command the Guardians.
So there you have it, that is everything we know about who Immaru is in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. While we don’t know exactly who this character is just yet, we can make some strong theories. It will be interesting to see if any of those theories are proven true when The Witch Queen launched on May 06, 2025.
