Just after beginning your brutally challenging adventure into Elden Ring, you will be able to find a good set of armor that’ll give you a nice defensive boost against the early (still tough) enemies of the game. From theFirst Step site of gracebeacon, follow the light until you reach the Gatefront beacon and you’ll find theGatefront Ruinsjust south of your location.
Proceed cautiously—this location is loaded with low-tier enemies, who will dropGodrick Soldierequipment. These pieces will give you aslightboost, but for a larger defensive boost, look for theGodrick Knight(seen below), who will drop the usefulGodrick Knight Armor.

The enemies here aren’t very tough if you keep them one-on-one or in small groups. Use stealth when you’re able to whittle down the numbers at the camp, and eventually, you’ll get a shot at the Godrick Knight.He may not drop the armorthe first time you defeat him, but use the site of grace by the nearby gate to respawn the enemies andrepeat until it drops.
