Every Rune Factory title has a fishing mechanic in it, and Rune Factory 5 is no different. However, searching for a specific fish is tricky. The type of fish that you catch is dependent on the kind of water the fishing spot has, the season, and, sometimes, even the time of day.
With that in mind, here’s where to find aRainbow Trout.
Rainbow Trout location
Trouts love still water and can usually be found in caverns. The Rainbow Trout is much the same! In fact, you can easily fish for one in theTimeworn CavernsatPhoros Woodlands. It has a small fishing pool at the very back. Timeworn Caverns is located at the very bottom end of the river that flows in the region. If you’ve caught theGoblin ArcherWanted Monster, it’s actually near this fishing spot.
Rainbow Trouts are really big fishes. So, if you see alarge shadow, that’s when you should cast your line!

You need arodto be able to fish. It should be given as a request item reward early in the game. Later on, you can craft a Beginner’s Pole, which will allow you to cast your line further. Rainbow Trouts and other sea creatures can be shipped, cooked, be gifted to people who like them, or turned in as a request item.
