The Wanted Monster side quest is first introduced to you by Livia early in the game, along with the ability to capture monsters. In order to complete a Wanted Monster quest, you first need to reduce your target’s HP then capture them withZL.
However, each Wanted Monster is unique and located in a specific area. Here’s where to findIgnis.
Ignis location
Ignis is located in the volcanic part of theKelve Volcanic Region, which is past the giant dinosaur skeleton in the middle of the area. It’s very powerful for two-star quest, so don’t attempt until you’re in your late-30s. Else, your weapon will do zero damage.
It will be surrounded by other monsters, though they’re easy to beat. The water laser spell, which you got from the cave early on, is recommend for this fight.

If you can’t find it, make sure that you’ve talked toLiviaand havechosen Ignisto subjugate. If another Wanted Monster is selected as your target, Ignis will not appear.
