Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker released in December 2021 to critical acclaim. But with the main expansion’s story complete, and post release patches now the norm for the next two years, many players are looking for the next big piece of content to sink their teeth into. One of these pieces of content is the Relic Weapon quests. But when do the Relic Weapon quests release for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker.
While no solid date has been announced, the expected first trueRelic Weapon quests are expected to drop in patches 6.2 and 6.25. In both Shadowbringers and Stormblood, relic weapon content was added to the game in increments. The first threads of the story were added in the .2 patches and expanded every .X5 patch (so 5.25, 5.35, 5.45, etc.).

With our prospectiveschedule, that places the addition of Relic Weapons sometime in August of 2022. We know this because of the announced shift to a major patch every 4 months, up from every 3.5 months, which was mentioned in an official announcement inFebruary.
That also roughly places the additions to the Relic quests in September 2022, January 2023, and May 2023. Overall, there are months and months of content ahead of us and the Relic Weapon quests are just a small part of what’s on offer in Final Fantasy XIV in the future.
