There are tons of different Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. If you want to fill the Pokedex, though, you will need to do more than just catch them; you’ll also need to evolve some Pokémon, including Magikarp. This can be a bit taxing if you don’t know what level Magikarp evolves at.

Magikarp is generally easy to evolve, as you won’t be able to catch one until you are fighting higher level Pokémon. Once you scoop one up out of the water, you simply need to train it until it reacheslevel 20to get it to evolve intoGyarados.

The downside to training Magikarp is that it can’t fight. And even if you catch thePrimal Magikarp, the only move it knows isSplash. The best thing you can do is add Magikarp to your team and allow it to naturally level as you catch and battle other Pokémon.

Just make sure you don’t get stuck with Magikarp as the last Pokémon left alive on your team.
