With the release ofThe Witch Queenexpansion inDestiny 2, Bungie has unleashedVoid 3.0on players. One new aspect of that isVoid Volatility. However, the way the ability works and how to use it isn’t abundantly clear.
Void Volatility is a debuffapplied to foes, much likeSuppressionorWeakening. Bungie describes it as “The target will explode in a Void detonation upon taking additional damage. If the target dies before Volatile has taken enough damage to detonate, the detonation happens anyway.”

Each class has different ways of applyingVoid Volatility. Warlocks can apply it with their Pocket Singularity melee attack. Titans can apply it with the Sentinel Shield and the Controlled Demolition Aspect equipped. Hunters utilize the ability with their Moebius Quiver super.
Additionally, a mod calledVolatile Flowallows players to gain access to Volatile rounds after picking up a Void elemental well. Finally, a fragment for each class calledEcho of Instabilityactivates after getting kills with grenades and then gives Void weapons Volatile rounds.
