The Memento slot in Destiny 2 is the slot for special vanity items known asMementos. These Mementos were introduced in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansion. Insert a Memento into the slot on your shaped weapon, and you will have a plethora ofpersonalization optionsopen to you.

However, these Mementosdon’t grant you any additional power. They are just cosmetic items, like the different Shaders that you come across in Destiny 2. Memento slots aren’t present on all weapons. Only the ones that can becraftedorreshapedat the Enclave will have a Memento slot in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.
You can get a Memento for your Memento slot by participating in theplaylist activitieson your directory. For now, it’s justGambit, butNightfallsandTrials of Osirisshould also have Mementos associated with them. And each of these activities drops a unique Memento for your Memento slot in Destiny 2. So, if you don’t require a Gambit weapon to flaunt that Gambit aesthetic, you just need the Gambit Memento.
