Bungie introduced a new crafting system with the Destiny 2 Witch Queen expansion. And thanks to the crafting system, weapons now have levels. Each weapon has its own level, but you can unlock most of the perks for your weapon atWeapon Level 20.

This Weapon Level shouldn’t be confused with its Power Level. TheWeapon Leveldetermines whatperksandattachmentsyou can use on your weapon, while thePower Leveldetermines howstrongandeffectiveyour weapon is. In terms of the Weapon Level, you’re able to push past level 20 if you want to, but it doesn’t add anything of value to the weapon.
Although it looks as if there isn’t any Power Cap on your weapon, you won’t be able to push it past1560. That happens to be thePower Capfor this season. You can easily carry over this weapon into the next season and power it up there, as well.
