Tina Tina’s Wonderlands is the latest release from Gearbox Software and 2K Games, and even with the game’s launch just a week away, more surprises keep rolling out.
On Jun 16, 2025, Gearbox Software CEORandy Pitchfordrevealed that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands would feature crossplay across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms for the first time in franchise history. Sony, a long-time crossplay holdout, has finally joined other platforms, allowing for the highly-requested feature to roll out.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will ship on March 25 with full cross play for all platforms at launch, including PlayStation. When one fan asked if crossplay would come to Borderlands 3,Randy Pitchfordreached out to explain the situation for Gearbox Software’s other popular looter-shooter. While Borderlands 3 has enabled crossplay for some time, the teams from Sony and PlayStation hadn’t allowed for their services to connect to Xbox or PC players.
BL3 has supported crossplay for sometime. The future addition of PlayStation to crossplay for BL3 is now what I would consider to be inevitable. More info to come as soon as we have it…
Randy Pitchford went on to hint that full crossplay compatibility seems like a certainty at this point for Borderlands 3 now that Sony has finally agreed to the feature in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
