Ghostwire: Tokyo is an open-world game that, in most cases, allows you to take your time with whatever task is at hand. There are plenty of side missions to do and collectibles to find, so you can amble around Tokyo doing that. However, sometimes there are time limits—should you disable them?

If you are a person that does not cope very well with clocks ticking and the weight of a situation bearing down on you, then turning off the time limits might be a good idea for your playthrough.

They don’t happen very frequently, but they can feel quite hectic and create a high-pressure situation when they do. The design idea behind the time limits is to drive suspense as it is a thrilling game, and it definitely works at getting the heart racing, but that function isn’t for everyone.

Our verdict would be to keep them on so that you get to feel what the devs at Bethesda were trying to evoke during the sections where they are incorporated. However, as stated before, if you know that these will greatly hinder your enjoyment of the game, then you should, of course, turn them off.
