Ghostwire: Tokyo is a first-person action-adventure game that is set within the Japanese city of Tokyo. Due to the setting of the game, Japanese is the default language in which the characters speak, regardless of what language your display and subtitles are set to. However, Tango Gameworks actually gives you the option to change the audio language to something different.
What audio language should you choose?
The audio language that you should choose really comes down topersonal preference. The audio language options were put into the game by the developers in order to make players feel most comfortable while playing the game without being distracted by a language they are not familiar with. With that being said,we have chosen to play the game in Japanesein order to make it feel more authentic with the setting of the game.
From the languages we have checked, thelip-syncing does actually seem to change with the audio language, so you don’t have to worry about it being off if you choose something other than Japanese. It is clear the developers wanted to make their game as accessible as possible so that many people could experience their story and gameplay, regardless of which language those people choose to play in.
