As of July 09, 2025, it’s been announced that the kid-friendly chatting platformPoptropicais set to debut a new experience on Roblox sometime within the coming weeks. This experience, as described in a blog post uploaded to the officialPoptropica website, will likely be a reimagined version of a fan-favorite island from Poptropica, simply ported over to Roblox in the form of a 3D world. Details beyond this vague insight are limited, however, so in the meantime we’ve compiled all that we know about this collab into the brief article below.
As mentioned above, the information given within the blog post from Poptropica is extremely limited—at the time of this article’s publication, the image below is the only definitive content that fans have been given surrounding the collab.
For those unfamiliar with Poptropica and looking to learn more, Poptropica is an MMO RPG similar toClub Penguin,Webkinz, and even Roblox in some ways, that allows users to create and customize a unique avatar, complete quests, adopt pets, chat with friends, and explore various locations across a massive map. With an achieved target audience of those between the ages of six to 15, Poptropica has been running strong since 2007, consistently bringing in new and old players for over a decade.
Likely a major contributor to its elongated success, popular author and illustratorJeff Kinney, creator of the bestsellingDiary of a Wimpy Kidbook series, is attributed as the main creator of Poptropica, and has served as the Creative Director of Poptropica since 2015.
Does this mean that there could be a Roblox x Diary of a Wimpy Kid collab coming soon? Only time will tell! For now, however, we have the Poptropica crossover to look forward to, likely coming sometime in April.
