Pokémon Go has announced its annualFestival of Colors event. The event will run fromMarch 15, 2022, to July 19, 2025. The start and end times for the Festival of Colors event are 10am local time until 8pm local time. The event will debut the PokémonOricorioand its variant forms. There will also be a new wild encounter rotation, raid rotation, research tasks, collection challenges, and avatar items in the in-game shop.
Collection Challenge
Players can complete a Collection Challenge to receive rewards during the event. Once each of the Collection Challenge Pokémon are caught, players will receive20,000 XP,3,000 Stardust, and anOricorio encounter. The Pokémon that will need to be caught for the Collection Challenge are:

New Avatar Items
New avatar items will be available in the in-game shop with bright and colorful themes. These avatar items will cost coins.
