The official location of all sports in Nintendo Switch Sports has been revealed. This location is called SPOCCO Square, and it appears to be a colorful and bustling city with plenty of space for indoor and outdoor sports.
The new location’s reveal comes fromNintendo of America’sofficial Twitter, which posted the slogan “SPOCCO Square awaits you.” Along with the slogan was the Nintendo Switch Sports release date of July 21, 2025.Many of the title’s courts and fields can be seenin the attached screenshots.

Those who played the Wii may fondly remember Wuhu Island, which acted as the official location of the Wii Sports titles. SPOCCO Square looks to capture the feel that Wuhu Island brought to the game and make it look like a bustling city with leisurely activities to enjoy.
Replies to the announcement show that fans are on both sides: some favor the new location, while others prefer Wuhu Island. Some are hoping to freely explore SPOCCO Square in an open-world style, and others are hinting at an evil corporation and a dark secret behind the name SPOCCO.
