Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the next entry in the Borderlands series, is a spin-off game featuring Tiny Tina as a Dungeon Master leading players on a Dungeons and Dragons-style adventure through a new fantasy world.Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will have full Cross-Play at launch. All consoles where the game is playable will have the ability to play with each other.
This was confirmed by Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford on hisTwitterpage. This is the first time that a Borderlands game will release with full Cross-Platform support, which is exciting for fans of the series. Borderlands games are multiplayer at their core, and Cross-Play allows fans to play with friends on any console.
Cross-Play is possible in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands through SHiFT Matchmaking. Players will be prompted to make a Cross-Play Display Name, which is required for SHiFT Matchmaking to work. Using the username of other SHiFT Matchmaking players allows fans to find each other, regardless of console.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will ship on March 25 with full cross play for all platforms at launch, including PlayStation.
