If you’ve been to your Job Tree menu in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, you’ll notice that a job titledSwordfighteris just sitting there waiting for you to use it, but the game doesn’t explicitly tell you how—here’s the quick and simple way to do itright from the beginningof the game.
In any of the in-game menus, head into yourBattle Settingstab. In thetop left cornerof the screen, you’ll see yourcurrent joband its level. Highlight this area and press the button prompt that appears just to the left—this will bring up a menu containing all of youravailable jobs(seen above). The Swordfighter job should be thefirst jobon this list—simply highlight and confirm to equip it.

This is a Job that balances offense and defense and gives you the ability to wield a sword and shield. Slaying enemies with the Swordfighter job equipped will also unlock your progression through its Job Tree, where you may upgrade your stats andbuild up Affinityfor valuable stat boosts.
