The Hydrological Investigation in The Chasm is a World Quest that can be initiated by fishing up a Strange Object from the Underground Waterway. You can start doing the quest after unlocking the Underground Mine through The Chasm Spelunkers World Quest.
To start, head to the area circled in the image below. you’re able to get there by starting from the Teleport Waypoint south of The Chasm: Main Mining Area. Go through the cave beside it and keep following the path along the cliffs.
Once you get to the location above, you’ll find afishing spot. Your goal is to keep fishing until you get theStrange Object. This could take quite a few tries if you’re unlucky, so make sure to change the in-game time between day and night to spawn all the possible fish in the area. If you don’t get it within the day, try again in three days, as all the fish would respawn then.
verify to double-check your Quest Item Inventory, in case you already fished up the Strange Object previously. After getting the item, head to the Underground Mine base camp and speak withKhedive. Choose the optionAbout the strange object…

Follow the quest marker to the waterfall north of the Underground Waterway with a battle-ready team.Interactwith the glowing Investigation spot. After, you need to active the Strange Object using Hydro. Hit the glowing spot with aHydro Attack, which will prompt aHydro Geovishapto appear. Defeat it, then head back to Khedive to report your progress.
