There are plenty of scary monsters to run from in The Mimic Book II, with a vast potential of being jump scared. After escaping the Minka with Rin and Mio, you are on your way to more horrors that await in the dark. You will be challenged to get past a giant snake monster to continue your journey. Here’s how you may bypass it without becoming snake bait.
Run and hide in the grass
As soon as you exit the hallway of floating heads and ascend the staircase, the giant snake-like monster will spawn. When you arriveat the top of the stairs and spot the grass, you should make a run to cover within it. The snake will still be able to kill you unless you areholding the CTRL key to crouch. You’re going to want to keep your finger on that button when it’s above you.
The snake will rotate through several positions, allowing you brief safe moments.Once you notice it is not looking over your area, you may make a run for it. You’re going torun directly to your left, over the log bridge with rocks.
Cross the log bridge

This log bridge haslow-hanging boulders that require you to crouch under themto get across. Depending on where you notice the snake moving, you may have tostop behind the large rock located to the right of the log. You canhide behind this rock by holding CTRLonce again.
However, theeasiest way to get over the log bridge is to stay left on the bridge. Staying to the left allows you to bypass the overhead boulders andsprint straight acrosswithout the extra hassle. Keep an eye on the snake, or you may be caught off guard.
Hide in the grass again
After you make it across the log bridge, you’lldive right back into some long grass to hide. The snake will rotate over to that area every so often, so you need towait for it to move away again.Once it movesback toward the first grass area, you should have plenty of time torun across the wood bridge to the escape.
Run across the wood bridge
Once the snake moves away from the second grass area, it’s time for you to make asprint across the wooden bridge to the escape.Be careful becausethe snake will still be able to catch you on this bridge. You aren’t safe until you get through the exit. After you complete this task and load into the next section, you will be required to make a run for it once again, so have your finger ready on that SHIFT key.
