Take Ingredients from your fridge
To begin cooking, you need to have afridgeplaced in your house. Then, you can head over to it andclick itto see these options. You will need to prepare the meal instead of using the Quick Meal option to up your cooking skill. To do this, selectTake Ingredients.
Choose a meal to cook
Clicking Take Ingredients will open a menu where you’re able to choose what you would like to cook. You will only have limited choices until your cooking skill is at a higher level. They also cost a little bit of money to prepare. The bigger meals cost a little more than others.Choose the dishyou’d like to make by pressing theTakebutton beside it.
Place ingredients on a counter

You should now see your character holding a tray of ingredients needed for that chosen meal. To continue cooking, you need toclickona nearbycounterspace. It should give you the option to prep your ingredients, either by cutting, mixing, or whatever is necessary for that dish.Click on the optionthat pops up, and it should have a related picture of your chosen meal displayed.
Follow prompts to prepare the meal
This will initiate the cooking action. To complete the step to prepare the food, you need tofollow the promptsthat pop up on your screen. They will require you to click with your mouseor press a key on your keyboard.
After you do this, you might have to complete several other preparation actions, depending on what dish you are making. Some require cutting and mixing, whereas others might require you to use an oven or stovetop.
Level up your skill
Your cooking skill will slowly increase as you complete the actions to make your meal. Once you level up, you should see this accomplishment screen. You may need to prepare several different dishes to continue increasing your skill as you level up. Cook a lot of meals, and you’ll be well on your way to being a master chef with plenty of new recipes to try out.
