There are many deadly status effects that you want to avoid at all costs in Elden Ring, but once you travel east of Limgrave and into the red lands ofCaelid, you will begin to find enemies that will inflict a devastating status effect calledScarlet Rot.
To cure this deadly rot, you’ll need to find a consumable item calledPreserving Boluses. As of right now, we haven’t found a spot to purchase any of these, but we have found a reliable way tocraft them.

First, you’ll need theArmorer’s Cookbook [6]—to find it, you’ll have to travel to theSiofra River Well, which can be found in the shadow of a Minor Erdtree inEast Limgrave(map location below).
Enter the well, and use the lift to descend intoSiofra River. Progress through this area by either defeating or sprinting through all the enemies, and you’ll find asecond lift. After you use thislift,follow the stream around the bend, and you’ll find theSiofra River BankSite of Graceon the left.
Scale the walljust behind this Site of Grace andhead left.You’ll see two neon blue enemies patrolling near adead body you can loot. Dispatch these two mid-tier enemies and loot the body to find theArmorer’s Cookbook [6]. You now have the ability to craftPerserving Boluses, which requires the following ingredients:
