In Total War: Warhammer 3, there are a lot of text boxes. That’s just what comes with the territory of being a grand strategy game. But for some users, the text boxes have become more of a problem, as no text appears in-game.
This is an issue related to thedisplay language used in Windows. If you’re not using one of the supported languages of the game, no text will appear. Here is the supported language list: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Czech, Turkish, BR Portuguese, Korean, Simple Chinese, Traditional Chinese.

To fix this, change your Windows Display language to one of the supported languages listed above. Next, launch the game, and then set your in-game language manually. you may then change your computer back to your preferred language.
Alternatively, you may manually make Total War: Warhammer 3 run in English. To do this, navigate to the following address on your computer (in the Steam version):
%appdata%\the creative assembly\warhammer3\gdk\scripts\preferences.script.txt
Search for the following text:
language_text “"; # language_text , Language used for text (eg. en, de, cn). To use default language leave blank. #
language_audio “"; # language_audio , Language used for audio (eg. en, de, cn). To use default language leave blank. #
Delete this section and replace it with the following:
language_text “en”; # language_text , Language used for text (eg. en, de, cn). To use default language leave blank. #
language_audio “en”; # language_audio , Language used for audio (eg. en, de, cn). To use default language leave blank. #
This will reset your language to the supported English and fix your missing text issue.
