Chocobo GP asks much of you on the cart-racing circuit, and you may count perfection on its list of winning conditions. Specifically, you will need to useperfect timing to execute Perfect Tricks—which, aside from adding sparkly poses to your jumps off ramps and ledges, will grant youan extra speed boost, similar to the speed boost for successful drifting.
As a base function, Perfect Tricks and their resulting speed boosts have no prerequisite requirements. All you need to do is perform the jump at the right time. Doing it successfully is easiest when you canwork up your speedbefore approaching the jump, especially if you don’t have the benefit of a speed boost on a ramp.

If you want the Perfect Trick, you need to jump not a millisecond too soon or too late off a ramp or ledge. Otherwise, you might only pull off aGreat Trickrather than a Perfect Trick—or no Trick at all. The level of Trick you achieve will show at the top left of the screen.
The jump itself can be done by pushing theaction button(R) on the standard control setting, Type 1. you may also press R for the jump if you’re using Type 2, or you can press Y if you’ve selected Type 3 in the Control Settings from the Options menu.
