Many elements in Ghostwire: Tokyo pertain to Japanese lore. One of these is elements is the use of hand seals. These act as barriers that you will need to break in order to gain access to places or to obtain objects. Here is how to break them.
Breaking the hand seals is a little bit like playing Simon Says, except with only one step instead of multiple. Press theLeft Trigger (L2)to engage with the seal, then watch the pattern that is shown via a blue light.

Make sure to remember it, as you will then need to draw the pattern out with yourRight Stick (R3). Once done correctly, you will then pressboth triggers togetherto break the seal(L2 + R2).
Once the seal has been broken you will then be able to explore whatever was being kept locked away. Sometimes, it will be a building or a room. Other times, it may be an obstacle that’s been blocking your path.
Breaking the seals does actually make you feel quite powerful, so we don’t doubt that you will have a lot of fun hunting them down to unlock everything!
