To install workshop mods on your Project Zomboid server, you will need to either edit a server file orenable them manually in the game. If you want to enable the mods manually, you will need to locate the server settings option inside the game.
You can find the settings by clicking the host option on the main menu. Once you click host, you will then need to click the manage settings option as shown below.
After clicking manage settings, you will then need to select your current server and click edit settings. Clicking edit settings will then take you to a vast list of server options. You can enable and install workshop mods in this list by clicking theSteam Workshop option.

Under the Steam Workshop option, you will be able to manually install and enable Workshop mods by enabling them via theadd an installed workshop item to the list option.
But if you want to add Non-Steam workshop items, you will need to use the mod option and click theadd an installed mod by ID to the list option.
How to manually install Workshop items in Project Zomboid
The next method to installWorkshop itemsis to find and edit the server ini inside the Project Zomboid folder. That said, you can find the server folder by locating it on yourmain hard drive,as shown below.
Inside this folder, look for a folder calledserver, andfind your server’s config file. When you find the config file, open it up in a notepad and look for two settings,mod, and Workshop.
Under the Workshop setting, you will want to add a mod’s Workshop ID as shown below, followed by asemicolon.
If you don’t know how to find a Workshop ID, you’re able to usually find it by going to the mod’s Workshop page and finding it in the mod description, as shown below.
Now for the other setting you need to edit, you will need to add the mod’s name followed by asemicolon, as shown below.
You can also find the mod name ID by searching for it on the mod’s Workshop page mod description.
When you finish editing the file, just save the config and restart your server, and the mods will be installed.
