What is EarthBound about?
EarthBound is the second installment in the fan-favorite EarthBound (Mother) series. In this title, players will explore the world of EarthBound as Ness, a child with psychic abilities, on a journey to confront the alien threat known as Giygas. Ness will be accompanied by companions (Paula, Jeff, and Poo) throughout his journey, each possessing their own perks and abilities that players can use in the game’s unique combat system.

EarthBound’s original U.S. release was in 1995 for the SNES. This will be the first time the game has been playable on the Nintendo Switch and will be released alongside the first game in the series, EarthBound Beginnings.
