Grand Theft Auto V is back… again. We are actually quite happy about it as the visual differences between the PS4 and PS5 versions are noticeable, and the Expanded and Enhanced edition is definitely an improvement. Here is how the two versions compare to one another.

We tried our best to match up the scenes depicted as closely as possible. All of the images are pure screenshots taken from both versions of the game, and they have not been altered in any way other than to depict which console they were taken on.

GTA V PS4 Vs. PS5

We had the PS5 Expanded and Enhanced edition set tofidelity modeto achieve these screengrabs, so what is pictured is coming out at full 4K.

There is a visible difference in the lighting and detailing which is actually a vast improvement compared to its predecessor, the PS4 edition.

Whilst playing, we could also feel where the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the Dualsense controller came into use. It’s hard to think there would be much difference given that the PS4 version of the game was a great improvement upon the PS3 edition, but they have managed to make it better once again.

Grand Theft Auto V: Expanded and Enhanced is half price for the first three months, making it$10 until June. Although it feels like Rockstar is squeezing the game onto yet another console, for the price, it is worth it and the vibrancy and added features of the newest edition are welcomed.
