Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was founded by Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin. Subsequently, four unique Houseswere established, all of which were formed to host the students based on their talents and characteristics. These four Houses were known asGryffindor,Ravenclaw,Hufflepuff, andSlytherin.
In Hogwarts Legacy, you will have the opportunity toselect one of these Housesto begin the school year with. Depending on your choice, you will be given a specific Common Room to report to. You will also be placed with like-minded students that share yourcore valuesandcharacteristics. That said, you should understand how the Houses operate before being sorted into your new home.
What are the four Houses?
Gryffindor
Students that fall in line with Gryffindor are known for their bravery and sense of pride. As model students with a firm grasp on Hogwarts' traditions, it’s clear to see why anybody would hope to be placed among the few talented enough to call it home.
Ravenclaw
Known for their wisdom and intellect, Ravenclaw students are textbook academics. As relatively quiet students, their train of thought often rests within the limits of their own creative minds. Although not arrogant by any means, they are known for being wrapped up in their own thoughts.

Hufflepuff
Kind-hearted and loyal to all who are willing to follow, Hufflepuff students thrive on being the carefree types that turn a blind eye to mischief. Humble beyond belief and incredibly charming to other cliques, it’s understandable why so many would wish for the tranquil lifestyle as a Hufflepuff student.
Slytherin
Malicious, and yet surprisingly loyal to the bare minimum, Slytherin students take pride in being the wrongdoers of Hogwarts. Although rumored to be evil by default, many are perfectly capable of becoming model employees in the Wizarding World.
