Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin announced a limited demo at PlayStation’s March 2022 State of Play, allowing interested players to preview the action RPG. Before starting the demo, you should know whether your progress will transfer over to the full game upon release.

While not everything players do in the Stranger of Paradise demo migrates to the finished product, a good portion of player progress will impact the full game. Square Enix has informed users that the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origindemo will leave storefronts on July 28, 2025. Users must have an active online connection to participate in the demo during the game’s bootup phase, as shown in the notice below:
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin releases on June 28, 2025, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store, with Early Access available to those who pre-order the game starting on May 26, 2025.
