Genshin Impact is a game that follows a strict schedule. Once a day, the game resets, respawning items, dropping new commissions, and updating ongoing events. If you have tried to log in recently, though, you may have noticed that the daily reset seems to be coming late.

Don’t worry, this isn’t a bug—the server reset time is now5am instead of 4amdue to parts ofNorth andSouth AmericaobservingDaylight Savings Time. Many parts of the world, such as Europe, move their clocks forward at different times, and some countries don’t observe this practice at all.

China, the county where Genshin Impact is developed, does not observe Daylight Savings Time at all, which explains why the servers don’t change. It would also be unfair to change the reset time in the American server, as other countries, such asBrazil, don’t roll their clocks forward.
The daily reset will change back to4am in October, when the clocks roll back an hour.
