With the launch of a new season in Destiny 2, players will be put back on the treadmill that is the Power Level grind. The Witch Queen makes leveling a little easier, but some direction will make it go that much quicker. To quickly summarize, complete the Legendary Campaign and then focus on weeklies that reward Powerful Gear and Pinnacle Gear.

Leveling Strategy

The best way to start the Power Level journey is with theLegendary Campaign. As players work through it, they’ll receive gear upgrades that will keep them on par with the level required for each mission. Completing the campaignawards you a full set of 1520 gear.

With the Legendary Campaign complete, players will be past thefirst soft cap of 1500. Thenext soft cap is 1550, and thehard cap is 1560. Players will want to move their weapons from their primary character to their first alt.Alt Onewill then go through all the weeklies, starting with Powerful Gear drops and then working through the Pinnacle Gear drops. Once complete, move the infused weapons toAlt Twoand repeat the process. Finally, with the weapons upgraded once more, move them to theMain Characterand complete the Weeklies for the third and final time.

Moving the infused weapons between characters pushes the Light Level higher than it would normally be. If you complete weekly content on the Alts first, the weapons are boosted twice over, which gives the main character a huge leg up. It’s a lot of work but is guaranteed to pump up those Light Levels fast.

Once the second soft cap of 1550 is hit, only Pinnacle Gear rewards will progress Light Level. As such, players will want to focus on those to best optimize their time.
