So, you’ve chosen to drive away Roland… and this chapter will remind you of that. Clarus of the Consortium will be accompanied by nothing but cavalry units during this battle. They’re all sturdy, mobile, and worst of all, have insanely long attack ranges. Roland’s gone, which means that you don’t have a cavalry unit of your own—so how should you overcome such a challenge?
The answer is to bring with you units that canprovokeorimmobilizethe enemy such as Erador, Groma, Lionel, and Hughette. Then, while they keep some of the enemies far away from your offensive team, use your other units to defeat those that gallop near.
Magesandspear-wielderslike Ser Maxwell are recommended for offense. Mages can deal heavy area damage, while cavalry units are weak to spears. PositionAnnaand your other units wisely so she can inflict two follow-up attacks on her turn. Bring outBenedictandMedinato grant allies a second turn.
But, most importantly, bringJuliowith you. Whether it’s your mages or Benedict, your army is going to need a steady supply of TPs. Medina can also do this with herTP Physickpassive.
How to defeat Clarus
To be perfectly honest, Clarus is the least of your concerns. While he may have more health, his damage is so-so, and regular melee units like Serenoa and Julio can tanks his attacks perfectly well. Of course, it’s still best to surround and eliminate him as soon as you can. His attack range is pretty far.

The best way to deal with Clarus isto get rid of as many enemies as you canbefore he walks near your location. But here’s some good news: he won’t approach you unless youoccupy a tile in front of your barricade(until he realizes he’s been scammed—which should take a while). Try and kill off many of the cavalry as you can from behind your barricades.Archibald’s insane attack range will make things easier for you.
This battle is a waiting game. Provoke, immobilize, and attack from afar. Do not rush it, or you will be overwhelmed.
