Kamisato Ayato is the newest character added in Genshin Impact version 2.6. The head of the Kamisato Clan is a Hydro Sword user who takes the role of an on-field DPS. His abundant application of the Hydro element make him a flexible unit overall. With this in mind, which characters and combinations make up the best teams for Ayato in Genshin Impact?
Ayato Taser (Electrocharged)
Ayato’s most effective team that is known so far is theTaser or Electrocharged composition. This team utilizes the off-field Electro from Beidou’s Elemental Burst and Fischl’s Elemental Skill to provide Ayato with tons of area-of-effect reactions. Since Ayato attacks so quickly in his Elemental Skill, he is amazing at proccing Beidou Burst and additional damage from Fischl’s C6 Oz.
This team is great, as its one of few that fit Ayato’s abnormal rotation timings. His six-second downtime between Elemental Skill casts is just enough to swap between your other three units and set Ayato up again. All of their abilities come off cooldown in time with Ayato’s Elemental Skill ending, making for smooth gameplay.
Round out this team with an Anemo unit to provide Viridescent Venerer shred and other utility. We’ve found thatJean is a great option, as she allows Ayato to stand in and attack while tanking damage in the center of her healing Burst. If you want to go for higher damage or more crowd control options, Kazuha, Sucrose, and Venti are all fine.

Kamisato Combo (Freeze)
Its only natural that Ayato would work well with his little sister,Kamisato Ayaka. Together, these siblings make up the core of astrong Freeze team. Unlike in typical Freeze where a Cryo DPS takes up the most field time, this team has Ayato as the main on-field star. Ayaka is used for her quick swap Burst before Ayato comes out to keep enemies frozen with his Hydro application.
One downside of this iteration of Freeze is that both Kamisato siblings are very energy hungry. This problem is partially solved by running a second Cryo battery unit such asDiona or Shenhe. Both characters have deployable AOE Cryo Bursts which helps Ayaka keep up the freeze. Additionally, activating Cryo resonance means that your units will all gain 15 percent bonus crit rate.
An Anemo unit is once again best for your fourth slot, thanks to VV shred. If you are using Diona to sustain you with heals and shields, you can invest fully inKazuha, Venti,or Sucrosefor maximum damage potential. If you have a Shenhe, then Jean is a fine replacement that provides healing if you desire it.
