Covenants in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies allow players to equip certain special abilities and perks, which help them fight enemies. With the Season 2 Reloaded update, two new Covenants—Critical ExpertiseandExplosives Expert—have been added to Zombies. Find out more about them below.
Critical Expertise Covenant in Vanguard Zombies
Using this perk, your non-critical hits can randomly transform into critical hits. Moreover, when paired with the Death Blow Covenant, critical kills will return ammo to your gun. The three tiers of upgrades for the Critical Expertise Covenant are as follows:

Explosives Expert Covenant in Vanguard Zombies
With this perk, your explosions will deal extra damage to the enemy without affecting you as much. While the Ray Gun splash damage remains unchanged, the explosion damage from Splatterfest and Energy Mine has increased. The three tiers of upgrades for the Explosives Expert Covenant are as follows:
With the addition of these two special perks, there are currently 17 Covenants in Vanguard Zombies. Players can buy and upgrade these abilities from the Alter of Covenants by spending Sacrificial Hearts, the items that you get after completing objectives.
